WIZARD_CSD_TEXT "This is the Campaign Strategic Display (or 'CSD' for short). This is your main link to all X-COM operations in the Frontier. The Campaign Map shows the star systems in the area, as well as all objects in sensor range of your bases and the corporate Outpost systems you are protecting. The view on the Campaign Map can be scrolled by using the pan ball controller or instantly re-centered by using the Navigation Map cross-hairs. Other screen controls include buttons to access many of the other game screens in the game, as well as controls for launching intercept missions and probes, and an interface for adjusting the speed of time passage within the game."
WIZARD_BASE_TITLE "Bases Screen"
WIZARD_BASE_TEXT "This is the Bases Screen. From here, you can monitor, expand, and maintain all X-COM bases in the Frontier. The fully-rotatable Base View shows you a 3D model of the currently-selected base which allows you to inspect the base's configuration at a glance. At your discretion, the Base View can display the damage status of each base module and a schematic showing the base's armament and defenses. The Bases Screen has controls for building new bases, adding new base structures to current bases, and accessing a detailed base status report for the base. There are also controls that allow you to access the Equipment and Personnel Screen and the Equip Ship Screen."
WIZARD_SHIPS_TITLE "Equip Ship Screen"
WIZARD_SHIPS_TEXT "This is the Equip Ship Screen. This screen has all the controls you need to turn your factory-built interceptors into super-powerful, customized killing machines. The menu at the bottom of the screen lists all the ships at the currently selected base. When a ship is selected, it is displayed in the Ship View. By toggling the switch below the Ship View, you can highlight all the weapon and equipment hard points on the displayed interceptor. By clicking individual hard point displays, you can select a new weapon or piece of equipment to mount on that hard point from a menu of items available in the base's Cargo Modules. The Equip Ship Screen also provides controls for assigning pilots to interceptors and saving your favorite equipment and weapon load-out options as default interceptor configurations."
WIZARD_RESEARCH_TITLE "Research Screen"
WIZARD_RESEARCH_TEXT "All of the scientific research in 'Interceptor' is performed on Earth by scientists at the Galactic Science Corps, or GSC. Once the research is completed, it is stored in the data banks on Earth for retrieval by X-COM bases in the Frontier. ~Research data is downloaded to Frontier bases via Downlink Modules - high-speed data collection devices, three of which can be installed on each X-COM base. The Downlinks retrieve the data transmissions from Earth and store the information in the UFOpedia when the transmission is complete. ~The Research Screen shows you a list of all research topics in the Earth data banks along with a short description of each. Other screen controls and displays allow you to assign research topics to individual bases - or all bases as a group - and to monitor the progress of the download and the Downlinks at each facility. ~Research is the key to staying one step ahead of the aliens. If you haven't started researching yet, you should get started right away!"
WIZARD_EQ-PERS_TITLE "Equipment and Personnel Screen"
WIZARD_EQ-PERS_TEXT "The Equipment and Personnel Screen provides all the necessary controls and displays to keep your bases stocked with equipment and your interceptors manned with pilots. This screen has two modes - Equipment mode and Pilot mode. In Equipment mode, the main menu at the bottom of the screen lists all the ships, weapons, and other equipment available for purchase. Also accessible in this mode is the Manufacture List, which displays a menu of all the custom ships, weapons, and equipment that can be manufactured by the corporate Outposts in the Frontier. In Pilot mode, the main menu lists all the pilots who are available for recruitment. All equipment and personnel ordered, manufactured, and/or recruited are shipped to your current base via freighter from the nearest available corporate Outpost. Other functions of the Equipment and Personnel Screen include the ability to sack pilots, sell equipment, and transfer personnel and equipment from one X-COM base to another."
WIZARD_PROD-MGR_TITLE "Production Manager"
WIZARD_PROD-MGR_TEXT "The more advanced weapons and equipment in 'Interceptor' are not stocked at your Outposts - they must be custom-manufactured. When you place a manufacture order from the Equipment and Personnel Screen, the items you select are added to the Production Manager queue in the sequence they are ordered. On this screen, you can set the priority of individual items to suit your needs. Increasing the priority of a manufacturing project increases the percentage of the available manufacturing workforce at your Outposts who are working on that project. The higher the priority, the faster the project is completed. You can also cancel production orders from the Production Manager Screen."
